Simple Plan
Fully inclusive price from: £1,430
Our Simple Plan includes:
- Local collection of the deceased
- A basic coffin suitable for burial or cremation
- Provision of the hearse to convey the deceased directly to the funeral location
- Provision of sufficient bearers as required
- Provision of Chapel of Rest facilities
- The Funeral Director's fees in arranging and conducting the funeral
- Memorial advice
Traditional Plan
Fully inclusive price from: £2,385
Our Traditional Plan includes everything in our Simple Plan, plus:
- A genuine wood veneered coffin
- Provision of one mourners’ limousine (typically seats 6)
- Provision of funeral conductor
- The cortege leaving from local address, travelling to funeral service and returning afterwards
- Advice on floral tributes, estate administration, bereavement counselling and charitable donations
Select Plan
Fully inclusive price from: £2,525
Our Select Plan includes everything in our Traditional Plan, plus:
- A superior genuine wood veneered coffin
- Provision of two mourners’ limousine
- Provision of attendance cards or books for those who attend the funeral to sign
- Collection of floral tribute cards or, if preferred, a listing of those who have sent flowers
Unattended Cremation

Our Unattended Cremation includes
- Local collection of the deceased
- A basic coffin suitable for cremation
- Provision of a vehicle to convey the deceased directly to the crematorium
- Provision of sufficient bearers as required
- Arranging doctor’s cremation certificates where required

- Disposal or collection of cremated remains
Attended Cremation

It's natural to have questions before taking out a prepaid funeral plan. Here are some of the most common questions we get asked but you can visit our FAQs page for a more comprehensive list, or you can contact us if your question isn't answered here.
There are a number of ways:
- You can pay securely online through this website
- You can pay by card, cheque or bank transfer
- You can pay over a number of months, interest free over 12 months or 24, 36, 46 or 60 months by direct debit. Charges are added for instalment payments over 12 months which are equivalent to an APR of 5.9% and are added to the value of your plan. An additional monthly charge on the 24 to 60 month plans is included to provide full plan payment protection during the longer instalment periods.

You can choose a funeral director when you take your plan out with us directly, we'll then speak to them on your behalf if they’re not already working with Open and check that they’re happy to accept the nomination to carry out your future funeral. We also have many Independent Funeral Director branches who are Introducer Appointed Representatives of Open and these are identified when you search for a funeral director here. Our business model ensures that all FCA regulatory requirements are met professionally but that you will also be able to maintain a relationship with your nominated funeral director should you wish to.
The Open Plan is designed to be as personal to you as you wish; choose one of the standard prepaid funeral plans and personalise that with your own preferences including readings, songs, hymns, flowers, donations to charity and more. We can also help you to create a completely unique plan to you either directly with us or through a local funeral director. Just get in touch with us for more details
Yes you can, our terms and conditions state the following.
- You can cancel this plan at any time by contacting our customer enquiries department by post, email or telephone.
- If you cancel your plan within 30 days of Commencement or within 7 days of initially nominating a Nominated Funeral Director, we will refund you in full.
- If you cancel your plan at any time after 30 days of Commencement, we will refund your payment less the original administration fee of £325.
- If you pay by instalment plan and cancel within the first 2 years of Commencement, we will return your instalments in full, excluding the initial plan administration fee.
- If you cancel an instalment plan after 2 years following Commencement you can either receive a refund less the administration fee of £325 or the plan can remain in place to take up or use towards funeral costs in the future at the time of need.
- We will make any refunds to you within 30 days of you providing us with notice of cancellation.
- In all instances, you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the Funeral Plan has been Redeemed. Where you cancel, you withdraw from the Funeral Plan and these Terms will be terminated.
